ISOLATED AREA EMERGENCY CARE - National Code : 30298QLD

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This course is designed for participants wishing to attain a qualification enabling them to apply Emergency Care in an isolated area and liaise with the Royal Flying Doctor Service for the management and administration of medications to injured or ill casualties.

PREREQUISITES:

Current Senior First Aid qualifications.

bullet Preparation for work and travel to an Isolated Area
bullet Primary and Secondary Casualty Assessment
bullet Collecting an AMPLE history
bullet Pain Assessment (PQRST)
bullet Monitoring the casualty in the Isolated Area - Baseline Vitals
bullet Administration of drugs and medication under medical direction
bullet Orientation to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Medical Chest
