TARGET AUDIENCE:
This course is designed for participants wishing to attain a qualification to meet Workplace Health and
Safety requirements where Emergency Care response is a duty of care.
Can also be utilised by all community members.

COMPETENCIES GAINED:
Upon completion of this course participants will be
able to:

bullet  Assess the situation and provide basic care to manage life threatening emergencies
(Life Support / CPR)
bullet Utilise management skills to prioritise emergency action and manage road accident:
bullet Identify and manage acute illness.
bullet Prevent, identify, manage burns and exposure to extreme temperatures.
bullet Identify and manage bleeding, wounds and eye injuries.
bullet Identify, manage bites, stings and poisoning.
bullet Identify, manage bone, joint, chest and abdominal injuries.

1 day full time (plus precourse study)
